Britney Spears lied about Jason Alexander marriage in memoir?

Britney Spears has been accused of lying about her 55-hour marriage to Jason Alexander in her hotly dropped memoir The Woman In Me.

In an interview with TMZ, Alexander claimed that the popstar was not being truthful when she wrote that they were “very drunk and very bored” before their Las Vegas marriage in 2004.

Debunking her claims, Alexander said he and Spears were “very much in love” and had not been drinking before their exchanged vows.

He also told the publication that he still loves and cares for the singer and would only receive a signed copy from her of her autobiography.

Sharing his plans for the book, Alexander revealed that he wants to sell The Woman In Me’s signed copy, if he got one from the singer, to the highest bidder.

In her book, Spears wrote about her short-lived marriage to Alexander, who was her childhood pal, revealing how drunk they got during their New Year’s trip.

“He and I got sh**-faced,” she recalled her first marriage. “I don’t even remember the night at all, but from what I pieced together, he and I lounged around the hotel room and stayed up late watching movies – Mona Lisa Smile and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre – then had the brilliant idea of going to A Little White Chapel at three thirty in the morning.”

“People have asked me if I loved him. To be clear: he and I were not in love. I was just honestly very drunk – and probably, in a more general sense at that time in my life, very bored,” she added.

The couple were only married for 55 hours before they got an annulment for the marriage.
