Britney Spears recounts how she aborted her baby in ‘secrecy’ in ‘excruciating’ pain

Britney Spears got candid about the time Justin Timberlake made her abort their baby as he was not ready to be a father while they were dating.

In her memoir The Woman In Me, the Toxic hitmaker recalled the “excruciating pain” she felt when she had to get rid of her pregnancy in “secrecy.”

In an excerpt obtained by The Associated Press from her book, set to be released on Oct 24, she penned, “It was important that no one find out about the pregnancy or the abortion.”

“Which meant doing everything at home,” she added, noting that not even her family knew about it then before describing the abortion as “excruciating.”

“I kept crying and sobbing until it was all over,” Spears continued. “It took hours, and I don’t remember how it ended, but I do, twenty years later, remember the pain of it, and the fear.”

As per People Magazine, Spears also talked about how she wanted to have a family with Timberlake and him not wanting a baby left her disappointed.

“It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much,” she wrote. “I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated.”

“But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.”
