Daniel Radcliffe has a history of promoting the stunt performers’ role in entertainment history, including arguing for the category of the stuntmen at the Academy Awards to honour their work, who, according to the British actor, are putting their lives on the line to create art.

The latest is the documentary on his stunt double David Holmes, who had an accident at the Harry Potter set, which left him paralyzed.

In a chat with Deadline in 2020, the 34, said, “When you go through what happened with Dave or Olivia (who was paralyzed during a scene in the Resident Evil) or the many people we’ve talked to that have had severe things happen to them, you realize everyone has put their bodies on the line to make the things we love. It seems crazy not to acknowledge that.”

He continued, “If you can’t see the art of a brilliant stunt scene, you’re just not looking hard enough. I do think there’s a snobbery, but stunt work is an art form, and to do it well and do it safely is really, really hard.”

Meanwhile, David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived will released on November 18.
