Meghan Markle shocked to find Royal life to be ‘extremely boring’

Meghan Markle was shocked when her hopes of a Royal life turned out to be totally opposite of what she had in mind, claimed a close pal of late Queen Elizabeth II.

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, was dragged for her vision about the Royal life ahead of marrying Prince Harry by Lady Glenconner.

She said the Duchess thought that royal life would be like living the life of a film star and riding around in “golden coaches.”

During an appearance on the Rosebud with Gyles Brandreth podcast, Lady Glenconner said: “I think the thing about Meghan was, she had no idea what was really expected of her really.”

“I think [Meghan] just thought it was sort of like being another actress, you know. Riding around in a golden coach and everything like that,” she added.

She continued: “And actually, being a member of the Royal Family – a lot of it is extremely boring.”

Lady Glenconner, who was also lady-in-waiting to Princess Margaret went on to reflect on her chat with American politician John Kerry at the King’s Coronation back in May.

She said she asked him what America really thought of the Sussexes and recounted his reply, “He said, ‘We all feel very very sorry for Harry. I think I can just leave it at that.’”
